Lemur Hibernation Genomics

Active:

true

Description

Lemurs are one of the only primate species which are capable of hibernation. In this project, we plan to uncover the genes which permit hibernation in these animals and find drug targets to activate the same pathways in humans. We will do this using RNA-Seq and (eventually) in silico drug screening.
